Citestep plans are non-refundable. Every purchase is final. There are no refunds, in whole or in part, for any reason — including a plan you haven't used yet, a plan bought by mistake, a duplicate payment, or a request made in the first days after purchase — subject to the legal rights described below.
Why
A plan is a prepaid bundle of AI processing. Every recording is processed as soon as it is uploaded — once to read each screen, once to write the SOP, once to check it — and that processing is paid for at that moment and cannot be undone or recovered. We keep the policy simple rather than drawing lines around it: nothing is refunded.
What this means in practice
- An unused plan is not refunded. It has no expiry — use it whenever you like.
- A duplicate payment, or the wrong plan, is not refunded. A second payment with the same email adds to your balance — you keep every SOP and minute you paid for.
- A recording that failed or came out too short is not charged against your plan at all, so there is nothing to refund.
- An SOP you're not happy with is a first draft that you review and edit in the console. It is not refunded.
- An account we deactivated for breaking the terms is not refunded.
Before you buy
Check the plan and the email address on the payment form. The key is emailed to the address you pay with, and a different address starts a separate account. If the key hasn't arrived, check your spam folder, then use Resend my key — a fresh key goes to the same address. If it still doesn't reach you, email support@genfinish.com from that address with the Razorpay payment ID from your receipt (it starts with pay_) and we'll get your key to you.
Cancellation
There is nothing to cancel. A plan is a one-time purchase with no renewal and no expiry — if you stop using Citestep, nothing further is charged.
Your legal rights
Nothing in this policy limits rights you have under applicable consumer law, including where the service is defective or not as described. Citestep is sold to businesses and professionals for use in their work. If something on our side has gone wrong — a recording that was charged but never produced an SOP, or a plan that never arrived — email support@genfinish.com with the Razorpay payment ID (it starts with pay_). A failed recording is never charged, and we will put right anything that is our fault.
